Up early after an early night, feeling much better, funny that! Porridge and banana consumed by 7:30, half hour roll on Jessica, calves tight, hamstrings still sore and right IT very tight! Much better after, got ready and left for the Pednor 10 mile road race. Good showing from Gade Valley and Dacorum. Very tough but enjoyable race struggled for the first 4k, legs still very heavy. Tough hill at 4k to 5k but I found a bit of rhythm and felt much better at the top. First 5 mile lap over and I found a nice pace and good rhythm, sun shining shades on! Picked a few places up in the second lap and finished in 1'05"16. Very pleased considering the last couple of weeks excesses! Very enjoyable run with my new running mates Matt, Jamie and Tom. All good for day 6, legs very tired but should be ok for tomorrows 10 miles with John Garner from St Albans Abbey to St Johns Church Boxmoor. John set himself the challenge of running 2012 miles in 2012 and tomorrow will see that completed, well done John. All good.
