Up at 7am after a very late night, aimed to get out running at 8:30. Made a schoolboy error, Garmin and phone both out of battery! Set off at 10:30, too late to do my planned 26 miles as dinner was at 1pm.

I ran to Hemel through KL and Apsley on old A41, right at Pilling corner to magic roundabout, up duel carriageway to Maylands Avenue, ran to the end through to Grove Hill, down New Road to Leighton Buzzard Rd, up Galley Hill and right to Potten End. roads almost empty, felt ok apart from left knee cap felt burning in one spot? Anyway ran towards Berko Golf Course and down to berko Castle. Legs feeling jaded but felt strong in myself. Ran along to Northchurch and turned left on old A41 back through Berko, Bourne End, Boxmoor, Apsley and Kings Langley. Felt strong but legs very stiff by the end. 23 miles 3hrs 15mins 25secs. Felt slower, recovered well and had a great Christmas Dinner and fell asleep! Merry Christmas.
