Going home at 12:30 and training at Gade Valley Harriers this evening, so only 6.6k run down to the coast and back. Clear blue sky and very warm at 8am. I will miss this! Quick warm down and stretch, shower, pack and off. Landed, home quick bit of food and kit on and off to the running club. Legs felt heavy but I felt great. 8 x 800m runs at 2'50" marathon... pace! We left the club, a bit colder than the last week but much warmer than the -7 temperature of my last run here! Nice mile or so to the start of the session feeling good, quick pit stop by a few people so I jogged on the spot then a sharp electric shock in my left calf and my session was over before it began! Fortunately we had done a loop to warm up so the hobble back to the club was not too far. Now back home with ice packs on and hoping for the best! Not the plan following such a tough but good week! The Watford Half Marathon looks doubtful now this Sunday which is a shame but that is not what I am training for it is part of my training. I am telling myself that anyway!
