6:30am - Met Cliff at Berko. We ran the route of the Berko half marathon. Ran through High Street looking like a couple of Ninja's! Still pitch black ran up Bulbeggers Lane to Potten End. Followed route through Frithsden, past Donkey Sanctuary! Did not know there would be a need for a Donkey Sanctuary around here? Anyway we ran through Nettleden and up to Gaddesden. Struggled up the hill, right hip hurting? Entered Ashridge Management College grounds and were met by packs and packs of Deer. The sun was steaming through trees and down valleys and Deer everywhere! Took my mind off my hip and in no time we were turning right down Castle Hill to Berkhamsted Castle. Total run 13.5 miles in 1hr 50mins. Felt great most enjoyable run so far.
