Better night up at 5:30, very sore throat! TCP gurgle not nice, good warm up and stretch, kit on and off to the woods. Colder than yesterday, I set off quicker to try and warm up. Hardly anyone around for this beautiful crisp morning. Pushed a bit quicker than I have lately and very pleased with 10.1k in 44"55. Not record pace but getting better. Good stretch, home..., shower new kit on and off to Joel in Wendover for the core session missed yesterday. Very, very tough session complete, working on hamstrings, glute and lower back, also a hefty calf session. Pleased to get through it and feel no bad reaction. Legs, back and stomach now very sore from the work out not the injury, which is good. Rep session tonight, not good! 6:30 warm up, very stiff from this morning! Met the lads at the club and we set off for the mile or so run to Gadebridge Lane, felt good. 10 long hill reps! Did not sprint any but very pleased to complete the session with the only pain being on the recovery down hills after each rep. Legs did felt like jelly and I lacked power for the last 75m of each run but I suppose to be expected. Good run back to the club and a total of 12.5k complete within the hour session. Nice cup of tea in the club then home in time to see the last 40 minutes of the Barcelona game while icing! Lionel Messi, what a player! Hot bath and in bed a bit late and aching a lot but in a good way.
