Up early, work got in the way and did not set off till 8:30, M25 blocked, all other roads grid locked, so took dogs in the truck to the Canal by Gaywoods Fishing lakes in Kings Langley.

I had aimed to do a marathon today but late start made it impossible! Ran with dogs (first decent length run with dogs) along canal to Ricky, turned back on tow path to Cassiobury Park, round park and started heading home. 11 miles so far, met Johnny Wallace (fittest 65 year young man on the planet!) and extended my run through Golf course (extra 4 miles) at 12 miles Barney, my 11 year old dog, started to flag and at 14 miles he ran out of petrol and stopped! The last 4 miles home took forever but still good to knock out an 18 mile run. Both dogs slept well!
