Big day! Cliff picked me up at 7:30 and we travelled to Brighton University, took forever in rush hour traffic. We set off on our run across the south Downs. 5 hours and 45 minutes later we returned after completing 30.5 miles of very tough cross country terrain. Felt knackered after 10 miles, so much tougher than running on roads! Went numb from 15 miles and fought the wind, rain and terrain to the end! Cliff could have run it again! Very annoying!. Amazing feeling to have completed such a long and tough run that a few months ago I would not have contemplated! Legs very stiff and sore after a 2 hour journey home in traffic! Slept well!
