Meeting James at the start of the race to give him my number and chip, received a text at 9:30 from James, can't make it got very drunk watching the rugby! I kitted up, applied Voltarole and went to the start. I have run with injuries before and no doubt will do again during the coming challenge so today would be a good test. Calf felt tight but ok, after ...the first hill up to the back of the Grove I got used to it, found a nice rhythm and bobbed along only worrying about the next kilometre and got through it in a very pleasing 1'23"30. Very good turn out and performance by Gade Valley Harriers 20 runners. Back home and back to the ice! Iced on and off from 5pm to 11pm, great fun! Rib of beef was great though!
