Happy Birthday Louise

Well, another non training, training record day! Bad night again, stretching session trying to get dressed, socks took about 10 minutes! Berko Half today, unfortunately could not run it but thought going to watch and support the lads would be better than staying in again. It did, very good event, very well organised and good numbers running. M...et Cliff King at his Health Hub stand with his lovely wife Sarah and physio's Harry and Simon offering pre and post run massages, very good idea and well received. Great show from Gade Valley Harriers, at least four personal bests from Matt Wall, John Lawler, Rich Coles and Tom. Vince Ellerby close but no cigar and Guy disappointed he missed his target of sub 1'17" I think, still sub 1'20 not shabby! And well done Jamie Marlow, behind in his training programme but still very quick. Did not get to see the other GVH lads and ladies after the run, hope you all achieved your targets. Had a quick chat with Matt Salt just before he ran the 5mile fun run then met him as he finished and commiserated with his disappointing 1st place in 26 minutes! I would love to be disappointed with that! Well done also to Ed Senior, Simon Geary and Paul Rumble, all with PB's, both Simon and Paul now getting very drunk down the Blackbirds. Anyway, enjoyable day however frustrating, now back home and back to the ice! Missing today is very disappointing for me but not the end of the world for my challenge. I am moving much better and hopefully I will be running again in a few days and will soon be able to record some actual training!
